Stories: All : How I Got Started

How I started skating.... hmmmm I was 5 years old and my grandmother paid group lessons for me. I had no idea what to expect but I learned step by step how to glide on the ice. It was fun and I loved it! The first year my mom was making excuses (sometimes) because she didn't want to drive me to the ice rink. Then for 2 years I went again for group lessons. My 4th year of skating my parents wanted me to take private lesson with a coach. I was sooooooooooo excited! Yes I improved... but not that much. As my coach was not free during summer skating school, my parents started seeking for a new coach. Sanders wanted to coach me, she was a level 3 coach. I started with her during summer 2010 and after a few days with her I got off the rink so pissed because I realized I haven't learned properly everything I learned in the past. I realized I waisted my time for 1 year!!!!!  So Sanders had to start all over with me even teach me how to glide on the ice! With Sanders... I had to work hard! With patience and time, she gave me the passion for skating. I am not the same skater anymore,  I now skate with a huge smile on my face, I skate with my heart with passion and it shows! I still work hard 6 days a week and this year it will be my 2nd year of non-stop (skating 12 months)

A new season has started a few months ago 6 competitions are scheduled, 2 are done so far with 2 gold medals.  I went from poor quality skater to double jumps in 2 years (with Sanders).
