My New Year's Resolution is to enjoy skating more than I already do! It's seems easy enough, but it may be kind of hard. Whenever I get hurt (which happens a LOT) just take a break and a deep breath and say to myself, "I can do it". I won't think about the injury, and I'll try to sort of start over with my practice and resume the things I won't get frustrated with. I won't try something that I've done a lot already because it might get worse. And sometimes there are bad days, but that's ok. I mean, stay calm and relax. "It will come," as my coach always says.
Another part to my New Year's Resolution is to train harder off-ice. Most of the top level skaters train off-ice almost half of the time they train (off ice and on ice). You really can become a better skater by training off-ice.
I hope I will continue to do these things regularly and stick with it!!!!
