I am delighted to be hosting my inaugural Figure Skating Fantasy Camp this September in Nantucket. I hope other adult skaters are as excited as I am about this experience.   I'm always trying to encourage adults to be brave and take the plunge.  I believe that you are never too old to skate. It's a healthy exercise.  It's creative, and it's a great activity for adults. The idea of a destination adult skating camp has been on my mind for several years, and it will be so much fun to have it come to fruition.  We needed to do something for the adults where they could go away and experience ‘camp' again. Many skated when they were younger; maybe there are some who would like to skate again. Skaters can do as much or as little of the camp as they want and I think the island of Nantucket is the perfect location for this event.  We will be skating at Nantucket Ice Rink which is a beautiful rink and a wonderful facility, and the quality of the ice is the best I have ever skated on.

 The only requirement at the camp is a pair of skates and a fun attitude. Skaters from all levels are welcome.  We will choreograph a skating program for each of the participants, and everyone will have a chance to do a solo in the final performance if they so desire.  My coaches and I will share what it is like to be a skater. We will tell stories and share the good and the bad. We want to pass on our love and passion for the sport. We have all been through so much, and the stories shouldn't die. 

Skating is a wonderful world, and I am so lucky to be a part of it.  My fellow coaches and I have become great friends, and we want to share the love we have for this lovely sport.  My goal is simply to provide a lifelong skating memory—filled with world class instruction, new relationships, fun and laughter, and an inside view of the world of skating. Hopefully, each participant will learn new skills and leave with a greater love of skating.
