I practiced alot of axels today,i can't do a full 1.5 rotation in the air but i'm working on it!!i hope it pays off! if u have tips for me,feel free to give me some advice!also for the sitspins! thanks

for the sit spin, you need to bed your spinning leg lower... it has to be a 90 degree angle. Keep on the good work!

Charline, You have a really good start, and you really need to bend your legs! that will really help you get the height you need to make the full rotation. and on your sit spin try to keep your back straight...and even if you fall try to bend your spinning leg a little bit lower.

thanks for ur commment and tips for my axel,i'm going on skating camp this week,i will work on axels with kevin van der perren,i'm soo excited!!

Charline, it looks like you are doing well with your axel so far. What you need most right now is to bend your right leg more on the takeoff, get lower to the ice, and get more force on the left toepick. All the strength for the height required for that jump comes from the quads and hamstrings. If you don't bend, so you can spring back up, you're merely using your calf muscles.
